1. LISTENING TO NATURE
Agriculture is the very foundation of our diet and as such deserves to be honoured. We produce our oils by combining modern-day techniques with ancestral knowledge based on the rhythms of nature.
We need to produce and consume sensibly and wisely, conserving natural resources as much as possible.

2. A SOURCE OF HEALTH AND PLEASURE
Scientific and traditional medicine come together in the Mediterranean Diet, a model of healthy eating whose main source of fat is none other than olive juice. La Cultivada is both nourishing and invigorating. It contains high levels of antioxidant compounds which benefit our health by helping to prevent illnesses. Consuming La Cultivada on a daily basis, as well as giving us pleasure, represents quality of life for both today and tomorrow.

3. VIRGIN EXTRA AND PREMIUM
La Cultivada epitomises commitment to quality. All our oils are extra virgin and Premium quality: veritable olive juices. They are truly delicious and their freshness will surprise you. You will discover what real extra virgin olive oil tastes like – tomato vine, green apple, aromatic herbs and a host of other flavours generously provided by the olive tree and the magnificence of its fruit at the moment of harvest.

4. AGRICULTURAL AND ECOLOGICAL
La Cultivada is an agricultural product, and as such it varies according to the variety of olive cultivated; to the characteristics of the land and climate; and to the production techniques which determine its uniqueness.
La Cultivada is certified Organic EVOO. We do not use industrial fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides. Horses roam through our olive groves, keeping the grass short.
We have taken our Cultivation a step further and we apply practices of Biodynamic Agriculture, which vivify and harmonise the soil using compost along with herbal and mineral preparations. Currently we do not have Demeter certification.

5. FAMILY AND ARTISAN PRODUCTION
La Cultivada is food with a soul, and it contributes to the social balance while safeguarding the family Estate. Human endeavour is carried out in line with a model of sustainable industry in which the quality of the oil takes priority over criteria of market efficiency.

6. OBJET D’ART
La Cultivada was born following an artistic journey. Pedro Mora, an internationally recognised and established contemporary artist, created the universe of La Cultivada, leaving his mark with his pen and ink drawings. Laura Parias conceived the design. Today, our visual aesthetics are in the hands of Francis Requena. His Yegera typography exclusively illustrates our brand.
With just a little imagination, you can create unique and original objects from the cans of La Cultivada by turning them into plant pots, vases, pen holders, lamps…

7. CONSCIOUS EATING
We are committed to restoring olive oil culture; to reclaiming healthy and full-flavoured agriculture; and to increasing consumer awareness so that the olive cultivation is not a slave to demand created by poorly informed consumers. We support small shops and businesses, food markets, consumer groups and any other activity where the human and social factor is still key. We want a world where people eat better.

8. A GIFT OF POETRY
Do you know how many poets, painters, sculptors and photographers have praised the beauty of the Olive tree? La Cultivada is an exercise in human freedom. In poetry, it expresses the feelings of the olive grove as a state of the soul. La Cultivada takes its inspiration from the poetic, imaginary world of an untold tale which chronicles the romance between a wandering owl and an ancient olive tree. Our oils and everything linked to them are infused with the words emanating from these encounters. All our labels, cards and communication materials are adorned with our “homegrown” poetry.
