El Mercado de Triana: solera y renovación
Our visit to the market yesterday was a little later than usual; it was not so much time for shopping but rather time for dancing. Felipe del Cuvillo, our good friend and superb musician, had invited us to gather at Ostrerías de Mercado, where he was then to serenade us with a wide variety of melodies ranging from Georges Brassens to Johnny Cash, from Caetano Veloso to Gino Paoli and Henry Mancini, to name but a few. Against this exceptional musical and culinary backdrop, we truly had a wonderful time. Indeed, there can be no doubt that dancing and good food are suitable for all ages, as is La Cultivada extra virgin olive oil.
Thank you, Felipe, for inviting us, and thanks also to the exceptional Triana Market… long may it prosper!
